M. Randall McRoberts

Mr. McRoberts founded McRoberts & Associates, P.C. in 1995, and became a partner in McRoberts & Roberts L.L.P. in 1997.
He has extensive experience in managing the Phase I and II environmental site assessment procurement and report review process for portfolio acquisitions and loan originations, the environmental insurance industry, is familiar with a variety of federal and state environmental laws and regulations, and has experience communicating and negotiating with Wall Street Rating Agencies and subordinate bond purchasers on dozens of commercial mortgage-backed securitized transactions.
Prior to 1995, Mr. McRoberts was employed by Midland Loan Services, L.P. as Environmental Legal Counsel and managed its Environmental Department, where he was responsible for environmental law services and environmental risk management for numerous privately and government-owned loan and real estate portfolios totaling over 10 billion dollars, including environmental due diligence of loan and real estate assets prior to acquisition, loan origination, foreclosure and mortgage-backed securitized transactions.
Prior to joining Midland, Mr. McRoberts was in private law practice in Kansas City, Missouri concentrating primarily in environmental, transactional real estate, and land use law.
Mr. McRoberts received his B.A. in Political Science (1985) and his J.D. degree (1988) from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, where he was the Editor-in-Chief of The Urban Lawyer (1987)(published by the ABA Section on Land Use, Planning and Zoning) and was a member of the UMKC Law Review. He is a member of the Missouri Bar; ABA Sections on Natural Resources, Energy and Environmental Law, and Real Property and Probate Law; and the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association. He is active in the Commercial Mortgage Securities Association.
